Proposal 2019/2 took the route of altering the existing U/B 210 to accommodate thegreater detail called for in the IFLA LRM. Changes to the proposed U/B 214 include:*Move the second paragraph of the U/B 214 definition (“Information in field 214 ...”)down to the Notes on Field Contents section.* Ms. Manneheut (Action: Ms. Manneheut) will provide instructions for using U/B 214for older monographic publications to add to the Notes on Field Contents.*The section entitled “Alternative for Parallel Data” and the corresponding Example 9Alternative were deleted.*Subfield $d definition changed to “Date of publication, production, distribution,manufacture, or copyright.”*In the definition for U/B 210, add the statement “Fields 210 and 214 should not be usedin the same record.”After discussing the two alternative proposals, 2019/1 for the new field U/B 214 was acceptedand 2019/2 for further work to expand field U/.B 210 was rejected.
