Найменування в кодованій або повній формі установи-утримувача примірника твору (найчастіше використовується для стародруків). Доки не існує міжнародно визнаних кодів організацій, рекомендовано застосовувати ''USMARC Code List for Organizations'', який містить більшість бібліотечних агентств. У підполі після двокрапки необхідно зазначати ознаки ідентифікації примірника (шифр зберігання з поміткою номера примірника тощо).
Name of institution to which field applies in coded form if it is considered necessary by the agency
which create the record to identify specific attributes of an item.
If the subfield is used codes should be entered in accordance with the provisions of ''InternationalStandard Identifier for Libraries and Related Organizations '' (ISIL), ISO 15511. (Existing records maycontain codes from ''MARC Code List for Organizations'', the full name of the agency or a national code.)
If the institution holds more than one copy the shelfmark of the item should be added after a colon.
